Comments: The sculpture is of an Apache Brave carrying his wife on his back. This depiction is from a true story from 1875 of Yavapai-Apaches being relocated to the San Carlos Indian Reservation. The San Carlos Indian Reservation is the first concentration camp that still exists today. This was a commission piece by the consignee and he personally knew the artist.
